Certificate in Workplace Assessments (Assessing Workplace Toxicity)
Do you ever get the sense that there is something “off” in your work environment, but you can’t quite put your finger on it? You may have this sense even though there are no complaints or grievances in your work area. Don’t dismiss this sense, you could be on to something as sometimes inappropriate workplace behaviours go “underground” and are not reported which can lead to the creation of a toxic work environment. This is an especially problematic issue for employers given that employers are responsible for ensuring that they create a psychologically safe work environment for their employees. So, what can you do?
Conducting a workplace assessment is an effective method to uncover problem areas in the work environment. Importantly, workplace assessments aim to fix the problems that are identified and thereby improving the work environment.
